Elections, democratization and human rights
The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, based in Warsaw, deals with human rights-related matters, including elections, democratization, tolerance and non-discrimination, and Roma and Sinti issues.
Freedom of the media
The Representative on Freedom of the Media, based in Vienna, observes media developments in all OSCE participating States, provides early warning on violations of freedom of expression and media freedom and promotes full compliance with OSCE media freedom commitments.
National Minorities
The High Commissioner on National Minorities, based in The Hague, gets involved in a situation if, in his judgment, there are tensions involving national minorities which could develop into a conflict that might endanger peace and stability in the OSCE region.
Combating trafficking in human beings
The OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings promotes co-ordination among participating States and between the OSCE and other organizations in combating human trafficking.
Parliamentary assembly
The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, an autonomous organization based in Copenhagen, brings together parliamentarians from 57 OSCE participating States. It provides a forum for parliamentary diplomacy, monitors elections and strengthens international co-operation.
Field operations
The OSCE has a network of field operations in South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Each field operation works within its mandate, liaising with the host authorities and running activities on the ground to promote OSCE commitments and principles.

Delegations
Each of the 57 OSCE participating States has a representation/permanent mission in Vienna. Delegations of OSCE participating States are best placed to provide information and respond to queries about the work of their respective states in the OSCE context.
